The National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN),
founded in 2002, is a not-for-profit initiative of
the Wadhwani Foundation,
works to inspire, educate and support the next
generation of high-growth entrepreneurs in India.
NEN was cofounded by five of India's premier
academic institutions: IIT Mumbai; IIMAhmedabad; SP
Jain Institute, Mumbai; IBAB, Bangalore and BITS
Pilani. Over the past three years, NEN's focus on
introducing a new paradigm inentrepreneurship
education in India and its innovative method
of doing so has made it its leading catalyst
on campuses across India.
The Founding NEN Partners are:
Ms. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw ,
Mr. Jerry Rao , Ms. Naina Lal Kidwai , Mr. Sunil
Mittal , Mr. Harsh Mariwala , Prof. Howard
Stevenson , and Dr. Romesh Wadhwani .
NEN connects IFIM to a global community of young
people creating value for all. As a member, we
become part of a worldwide community of
next-generation thinkers, entrepreneurs and
leaders. Our fellow members could be our future
co-founders, team members, customers, partners and
investors.
Internationally renowned experts and educators help
create world-class, high-impact programs and
activities that will give the students valuable
insider knowledge and hone the skills, helping them
succeed in their endeavor. They will have access to
the finest minds in the field thanks to NEN's close
associations with the world's leading institutions
and resources.
