IFIM welcomes its first batch of students for its EPGDM in Business Analytics Program

IFIM Business School held the inaugural ceremony for the first batch of the EPGDM in Business Analytics launched in association with IBM on the 20th September 2014. A 15 month weekend program specially designed to suit the needs of working professionals from diverse organizations across levels of management. The program intends to equip working professionals with the know-how of various Business Analytics tools and techniques and their effective implementation in business.
The inaugural event was presided over by Dr. Madhumita Chatterjee, Director- IFIM Business School, the Chief Guest Mr. Amol Mahamuni, Program Director - India Software Labs, IBM, Dr. Chandrasekhar Subramanyam, Sr. Professor and Director- Business Analytics Center, IFIM and Colonel Rajesh Jasial. The event was moderated by Dr. Gunjan M Sharma, Assistant professor HRM and Program Head - Business Analytics, IFIM. Welcoming the new batch, the Chief Guest Mr. Amol Mahamuni addressed the gathering about the scope and future of Analytics. Analytics has become an important driver to profitability, ROI and operational efficiency in every field and addressing this aspect Mr. Amol also mentioned the use of ‘Sentiment Analytics’ in politics.
IFIM fosters an interactive environment which was reflected in Dr. Chandrashekhar’s active engagement with students while explaining the curriculum and choice of modules. He had made a captivating speech dotted with humour that drew a lot of applause from the group. This was followed by a small presentation, introducing the 19 year old academic establishment to the students. The event drew to a close with a round of student and faculty introductions.
IFIM is proud to announce that the current students of the EPGDM Business Analytics batch is a mixed bag of experience and qualifications representing corporates like Wipro, Genpact, Schneider Electric, United Healthcare, IBM, Mindtree, R2 International, Arteria Technologies, HCL and Ramco Systems.
