Dear Student,

Continual changes in the global business environment are compelling organizations to search for newer & creative ways of responding to technological breakthroughs, economic growth, shifts in customer tastes and dramatic changes in competition. In such a scenario, one of the creative responses is to develop new skill sets and capabilities in line with these emerging challenges and Business Schools have to address these and allied challenges by a multi-pronged approach including creating a learning environment that fosters innovative thinking.

IFIM Business School has since picked up the gauntlet and is readying itself to offer a unique educational experience in the PGDM and PGDM-IB Programme respectively.

No School (be it Engineering, Law or Business) has received recognition and accolades only on the strength of its teaching. The quality of its on-going research has been a principal determinant of a School’s overall success. A strong research orientation is also necessary in order to attract quality Faculty and some of our academic and research initiatives at IFIM Business School are gaining momentum in this direction.

I am extremely happy to report that IFIM Business School has been permitted by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum to offer a Ph.D programme in Management.

Time is now opportune for us to shift the frame of reference for IFIM Business School from just being in the top Business Schools in the country, to being on the ‘path to excellence’.

In order to achieve a quantum leap in ‘excellence’, the thrust for IFIM Business School during the next academic year would continue to be on : One: Academic excellence & knowledge creation.  Two: Better and effi cient institutionalized governance. Three: Adoption of global practices and thus acceleration towards global accreditation.

By these and allied steps, it is expected that IFIM Business School would achieve all round excellence and achieve its ‘Vision’.
