Call for Papers & Cases

‘The Startup Convergence’ is a two day catalytic event aimed at bringing together people from various verticals of the startup ecosystem to deliberate on issues related to entrepreneurship.

 

This flagship event of the Center of Excellence – Entrepreneurship Development (CoE-ED), is the first of its kind that is designed to enable osmosis of ideas across the widening chasm between academics and practitioners. The event revolves around three activities –

 

  1. The Startup Showcase
  2. The Case Contest & Research Paper Awards
  3. Panel discussion with experts on topics related to entrepreneurship

 

This year ‘The Startup Convergence’ focusses on the theme – “From Innovation to Enterprise: Forging the Road Ahead” (February 24th – 25th, 2017). This is an invitational conference based on competitive review of submissions. We invite all stakeholders and participants of this ecosystem to participate and attend the event for valuable interactions and takeaways.

Call for Papers & Cases

This call for paper seeks submissions of cases & papers to this event. Selection will be based on double blind reviews with only the top papers and cases invited for presentation.

  • Mention and highlight corresponding authors
  • Second Page – Title and Abstract, provide upto 6 keywords

  • Tables and figures intext; labeled  and numbered in sequence. Proper referencing of tables by numbers intext.
  • Ensure that tables and figures do not spill over to multiple pages (If table is too large, break them into multiple parts)

  • Relevance to current entrepreneurship issues
  • Qualitative/Quantitative empirical studies
  • Maybe conceptual, so long as it develops a conceptual framework based on robust literature review
  • Consistent referencing format (APA preferable)
  • Robust methodology
  • Appropriate inferences from analysis
  • Must have takeaways and future direction

About Centre for Excellence | Entrepreneurship Development

The CoE-ED is established to synergistically bring together resources necessary for nurturing students who dream of entrepreneurship as an end-goal of their careers. The center aims to play an important role in the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Start-up Capital of India.

 

The CoE pursues its activities in three main verticals:

 

  1. An important pillar of the center is the intellectual capital developed by means of courses and programs offered by the institute.  The center aims to attract entrepreneurial minds through the specialized courses offered to students inclined towards entrepreneurship. The idea is to nurture and kindle these minds in to setting up and growing ventures. This pillar of the center serves as a research and pedagogical innovation center.
  2. The central pillar of the center is the incubation center, called ‘The Startup Foundry’, which facilitates and houses potential start-up entrepreneurs to experiment with their ventures
  3. The third pillar of the center is to develop a supporting ecosystem by establishing a network of experts as mentor, advisors, funder to help incubatees with successfully launching their ventures.

 

The CoE has partnered with National Entrepreneurial Network (NEN), Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) Ahmedabad, LEDMAC, a London based education consultant specializing the entrepreneurship space to bring the best resources to students of Institute of Finance & International Management and potential entrepreneurs. The CoE also manages and facilitates the E-Cell of IFIM B-School.
